New links for investment portfolio & webcasts
Hi everyone,
Hope you had a great weekend. With the new month I’ve changed the links to most of my spreadsheets including the daily webcast.

With regards to my investment portfolio, I started doing some tax loss selling on Friday to get ahead of the traditional Q4 tax loss selling by everyone else. I trimmed ~30% of my portfolio this summer which resulted in lots of short term and long term capital gains; the recent pullback has put a few of my positions (that I started this year) below my cost basis so I’m selling them now to lock in those gains while still having enough time (30+ days) to get back into those stocks before they report Q3 earnings. If we get a Q4 rally I’ll be ready to get aggressive in both of my portfolios/strategies but new positions should only be stocks that remain in an uptrend (above their moving averages) which means they’re less likely to be pressured from tax loss selling. The biggest losers in your portfolio are the stocks most likely to be sold in Q4 for tax harvesting however buying them the last few days of the year for a potential bounce in early Q1 could be a smart move.
Here’s my tweet from Friday that also summarizes my actions… https://x.com/JonahLupton/status/1707864719330070763?s=20
If we do get a Q4 rally, some of the stocks I’ll be considering for new positions with stop losses are ELF, AXON, ONON, NVDA, PLTR, TSLA, DKNG, SHOP, CFLT, DECK, CRWD, RIVN, FSLY, DDOG, NET, GTLB, ZS and several others. Obviously I would not start positions in all of them but I’d be willing to take my net-exposure up to 130% from 60% where it is now which includes my 30% of hedges (ARKK and IWM shorts)
Please let me know if you have any questions about my current portfolio or my Q4 strategy. I’m sure I’ll discuss it more on my daily webcasts this week.
Have a great day,
~Jonah
